The CHAMPAGNE FRESH uses counter-pressure by means of hand pump to prevent the escape of carbon dioxide from the bottle. Install the pump pin in the hole of the closure (built-in check valve), pump two or three times and then remove it again. Only by using this method the opened bottle of sparkling wine remains fresh for weeks. The bottle can now be placed into the refrigerator.
Commercial enterprises can generate pressure from CO2 cylinders instead of hand pumping (Art.-No. 7090 price on application).
(Other 'keep-fresh stoppers for sparkling wine' which merely seal bottles cannot keep beverages fresh. The carbon dioxide of the sparkling wine escapes into the empty space of the bottle. Of course the sparkling wine goes stale.)
